Laura Huxley: Recipes for Living and Loving-Your Favorite Flower
Laura Huxley, who was married to philosopher Aldous Huxley, died at age 96 in 2007. She wrote many self help books including, Recipes for Living and Loving. This track is off an LP from 1973 where Laura guides a peaceful meditation, "Your favorite flower". She has a very strong Italian accent if you have never listened to her.
Below is an excerpt from Huxley's book, Recipes for Loving and Living. The excerpt is an exercise titled, Between Heaven and Earth, which is somewhat like a meditation or yoga. The exercise has the reader stand with their hands above their head and their knees slightly bend (as seen in the image) for an extended period of time—rooting heaven and earth.
